An issue on TikToks API resulted in ~19,500 TikTok posts failing to publish across ~7,700 profiles between March 12–16. This was due to a change in their Content Moderation implementation, which in-turn affecting clients of its API.

While this is a third-party incident and not something that we can directly fix, we are aware of some opportunities to learn about these incidents earlier and smoothen the process. For example, monitoring other platforms status pages would help us to learn about issues being experienced with third-party APIS, as well as creating some internal guides for specific support channels that can be used during these times. We also learnt about an `x-tt-logid` header that TikTok supports, which would help us support them in debugging in future.
